Another website taking advantage of the low market has cropped up.

Based in the UK but aimed at the overseas market, propertx.com is a website “where sellers offer and buyers bid for completed or partially completed overseas property”.

The rather basic looking portal claims it is “guaranteed sales agent free!” with no middlemen and no commission.

A listing by a private seller on propertx.com costs £49.95 for six months. Curiously, this fee includes a money-back guarantee and will be refunded if there is no offer.

propertx.com is in much the same mould as the more comprehensive property-abroad.com, which has been running since January 2000 under CEO Les Calvert.

property-abroad.com boasts listings for over 71,000 properties in more than 50 countries as well as news, country overviews and more. Private sellers are charged £59 (until sold), with separate arrangements for agents and developers.

property-abroad.com also have a portfolio of over portfolio of over 300+ websites.

Commenting on the arrival of propertx.com on Estate Agent Today, CEO Les Calvert revealed the company will also be launching yet another portal shortly: sell-my-property.com. Like propertx.com, sell-my-property.com will be aimed at the private seller market.
