Real estate search engine Nestoria has announced its first expansion for 2011 with the launch of nestoria.in in India.

Nestoria co-founder Ed Freyfogle tells propertyportalwatch.com that his Indian launch partners include 99acres.com, makaan.com and in.iproperty.com, adding that he hopes to bring more partners on board over the coming months.

“This is a big step for our tiny team, not just because India is a massive country that is well on the path to becoming a dominant market of the 21st century in its own right, but because it is the fourth new market we’ve launched in the last year,” Freyfogle explains. Those previous launches included Brazil, France and Australia.

Freyfogle says India’s diversity means the Nestoria team still have a lot to learn in terms of optimising its service for the country. “The Indian market has its own unique requirements and experiences,” he explains. “Nevertheless, just like in every market we operate in, we look forward to working with our partners and learning from the users to create a simple, easy to use real estate search service.”

Freyfogle adds that he believes nestoria.in and its partners can help to address the growing real estate demand in India, and that he welcomes all feedback on the service.
