Reshuffle for Top 20 US Websites

There are plenty of changes in the Hitwise list of top US real estate websites for April, with only the top six positions unchanged from last month.

Amongst the top 10, big movers were rentals.com, which climbed five places, along with remax.com and mynewplace.com, which were both up two.

The top 10 US real estate websites in terms of visits in April, and their previous positions, were:

The big winners between 11th and 20th place were redfin.com, which finally managed to move further into the top 20, and real estate and car portal connectwithlife.com, which jumped from 49th to 20th position:

The top five most popular real estate search terms for the month were “realtor.com”, “zillow”, “apartments for rent”, “real estate”, and “remax”.

Amongst the fastest moving websites for the month was mycheapartments.com, up 184 places to number 104. Webby award winner hotpads.com was also up 11 places to number 36.

29.31 percent of all visits to the “Business and Finance – Real Estate” industry went to the top 10 websites, while 40.10 percent went to the top 20 websites and 69.70 percent went to the top 100 websites.

The average visit duration for visits was 9 minutes, 57 seconds, which is no change from last month’s average.
