New Property Database from loopnet.com

US commercial property portal loopnet.com has just unveiled a new property database it says moves the company beyond marketing services.

The database, which is free for loopnet.com premium members, contains 5 million property records along with other information including owner and tenant details, mortgage and lender history, historical for sale and lease information, and asking price trends.

loopnet.com says the database aggregates information from the portal’s marketplace, its own research, leading independent data providers, public records and loopnet.com members. A sample property record from the database can be viewed here.

The launch of the database was announced at the ICSC RECon 2010 conference on 23 May. Below is a video of the announcement:

At theĀ end of Q1 this year, loopnet.com had 68,809 premium members, which is a 0.6 percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2009 but a 7.4 percent decline from the first quarter of 2009.
