Almost 1 Million Have zillow.com App

zillow.com’s iPhone application has been downloaded 945,000 times since its launch in April 2009, and a number of new features have just been added.

To begin with, home hunters with the US real estate marketplace’s app can now share home data, zestimate values and photos via Facebook and Twitter.

Users can also set search filters by home price or monthly payment, and simultaneously find both for sale and for rent homes – a feature zillow.com says is unique to its app. The ability to sign in and sync favourite homes between iPhone and zillow.com accounts has been added as well.

zillow.com chief operating officer Spencer Rascoff says more than two million homes are viewed on the app every month. “People are clearly using the app to satisfy their desire for real estate information exactly when and where they need it most – on location while searching for homes and neighbourhoods,” he says.

Along with the enthusiasm for its iPhone app, zillow.com has something else to celebrate: a record 9 million unique users on the website during January, according to Omniture figures.
