New TV Push from rightmove.co.uk

Leading UK portal rightmove.co.uk has started airing its new TV advertisement, aiming to gather more sellers for its “stock-starved” agents.

The ad, available to view on campaignlive.co.uk, portrays agents as the wild inhabitants of an African plain.

“These knowledgeable creatures know every inch of their territory,” explains actor Joanna Lumley’s voice over. “They see what’s selling – and what’s not.”

The ad pitches rightmove.co.uk as the place “where sellers get started”. Miles Shipside, the portal’s commercial director, told estateagenttoday.co.uk he hopes the TV ad will attract more sellers to the portal:

“With the current shortage of sellers, we are urging those contemplating selling to discuss their potential move with those best placed to give the right advice – their local knowledgeable estate agent.

We are hoping this will help bring stock-starved estate agents and possible sellers together, generating new instruction opportunities.”
