MetrixLab’s Best Portals Announced

Property portals from across the world have been honoured in MetrixLab’s Website of the Year awards, which name the most popular websites based on public votes and the best websites based on an evaluation of content, navigation, and design.
Websites taking home awards in the real estate category were:
zoopla.co.uk for Best UK Website and findaproperty.com for Most Popular UK Website;
funda.nl for Best and Most Popular Dutch Website;
enalquiler.com for Best Spanish Website and fotocasa.es for Most Popular Spanish Website;
immobiliare.it for Best and Most Popular Italian Website;
immonet.de for Best German Website and immobilienscout24.de for Most Popular German Website;
trulia.com for Best US Website and century21.com for Most Popular US Website;
propertywala.com for Best and Most Popular Indian Website;
ikea.fr for Best French Website and entreparticuliers.com for Most Popular French Website.
The results for Russia and China are yet to be announced.
MetrixLab’s awards were established in 2004 and are run in association with Nielsen Online and partners including social media news website mashable.com.

The team at Classified Ad Ventures (owner of Property Portal Watch) has scoured the world and put together its list of the top 25 revenue generating property portal sites. The top five sites are all market leaders, all generating over US$100m per year, and all very profitable. The highest revenue generating site is immoscout24.de in Germany followed closely by realtor.com in the US.
