Singaporean portal propertyguru.com.sg is having an exciting few months. After taking out the “Best International Property Portal” title at the 2009 CNBC International Residential Property Awards and launching a Singaporean edition of Malaysia’s Property Buyer magazine, it has now been named on Google’s 2009 Year-End Zeitgeist report for Singapore.

propertyguru.com.sg came ninth on Google’s list of the fastest rising search terms for 2009, which was topped by “facebook login” followed by “swine flu”, “susan boyle” and “michael jackson” in second to fourth place. propertyguru.com.sg was the only property-related website mentioned in Google’s report.

“To be ranked alongside social media giants like Facebook and Twitter as well as Susan Boyle and the late King of Pop Michael Jackson as the fastest rising searches in Singapore is great news. This further illustrates the strength of the propertyguru.com.sg brand, as well as the importance of property to people in Singapore,” said Steve Melhuish, propertyguru.com.sg’s director and co-founder.

There could be another release from propertyguru.com.sg on the horizon: When Google’s Street View was released in Singapore earlier this month, Melhuish said he was keen to integrate it into propertyguru.com.sg.
