Following on from its win at the 2009 CNBC International Residential Property Awards, Singaporean portal propertyguru.com.sg has teamed up with Malaysia’s Property Buyer magazine to launch a Singapore edition of the publication.

The new Singapore edition of Property Buyer will provide news on the property markets in Malaysia and Singapore. It will also showcase propertyguru.com.sg’s listings and give the portal’s advertisers another way to reach buyers.

“This collaboration aims to help you become your own expert in buying, selling and improving your properties,” said Edwin Wong, Property Buyer’s managing director.

Meanwhile, Google Street View has just gone live in Singapore, and while not everyone is comfortable with the technology, propertyguru.com.sg director Steve Melhuish is keen to integrate the service into his portal. He told hardwarezone.com:

“We are looking forward to having Street View on propertyguru.com.sg as it offers our users a new and unique way to view the location of properties and save time in their search. It’s an amazing tool that will allow our users to see each property and its surroundings and help them get a real feel for the area without having to physically be there. For those who are looking around to buy or rent a home in Singapore, the search just got easier!”

In addition to launching the magazine this month, propertyguru.com.sg is currently promoting Christmas deals, videos and how-to articles in its lifestyle section.

Earlier this year, propertyguru.com.sg announced a partnership with eBay, which saw the launch of a new feature-rich property search service on eBay’s Singapore website, ebay.com.sg.

In September, propertyguru.com.sg teamed up with auction providers in Singapore to launch a real estate auctions service.

When Melhuish spoke to Expat Living magazine in November, he stated that the portal serves 1.1 million people per month and that it has grown between 10 and 15 percent each month since its launch three years ago.

The portal’s press release says its audience figures come from Hitwise, Google Insights and alexa.com.
