New Rightmoveplus Ranks Agents

Top UK property portal rightmove.co.uk has just launched an enhanced version of Rightmoveplus, its management and reporting suite for member agents.

The new additions to Rightmoveplus are aimed at helping agents analyse their local market and performance compared to their competitors.

A new scorecard system will rank agents’ performance across four key metrics: new listings, available stock, time on market and average click-through rate. rightmove.co.uk says this will allow agents to measure branch performance and track their relative position:

Agents will also be able to define their target markets using a mapping tool:

“The new Rightmoveplus homepage is the ideal tool to keep rightmove.co.uk members instantly aware of what’s happening in their local strongholds, and whether competitors are encroaching on their patch,” said Miles Shipside, commercial director of rightmove.co.uk.

The Negotiator points out that rightmove.co.uk’s terms and conditions prohibit agents from making the names of competitors public for marketing purposes, and that the portal is asking agents to report any suspected breaches.

Rightmove plc’s recent interim management statement put the number of real estate agent members at 14,100 at the end of October, up 8 percent from the low point seen at the end of January 2009.

The new Rightmoveplus features are scheduled to go live for all rightmove.co.uk members today.

   The latest real estate sector report from UK consulting firm Greenlight has found that rightmove.co.uk is the most active property portal on social media. Greenlight released its first report on UK real estate websites in May, ranking primelocation.com as the most visible property website in a natural search....

4. rightmove.co.uk Adds Google Maps

   Leading UK property portal rightmove.co.uk has just announced all its properties will now be displayed on Google Maps. Users are now able to view properties placed on a Google Map by clicking a link on each property’s detailed view page. rightmove.co.uk says this is the first in what will be a series of mapping innovations created in association with Google. Over the next few months, another feature will be released allowing property hunters to see initial search results plotted out within their search area. "Additional exciting uses of Google Maps are also now in development," the portal states....

5. lettingsearch.co.uk Revamps for Agents

   Following on from an investor boost in November 2009, UK-based rentals portal lettingsearch.co.uk has added a range of new features based on feedback from agents. The portal's agents can now benefit from a weekly key statistics feature, which provides agent-specific information on the volume of landlord and consumer leads received, as well as the number of clicks through to the agent’s own website....
