iproperty.com.my, the Malaysian version of the iproperty.com group of portals, is once again claiming top spot with 163 percent more visitors and 228 percent more page views than its closest competitor during October.

According to a statement from the portal quoting Google Analytics and Ad Planner statistics, iproperty.com.my recorded 840,000 visits and over 10.5 million page views for the month. iproperty.com.my says this is a 95 percent jump in visitors and over 100 percent more page views than in October 2008.

This is a more conservative announcement than the one made in January this year, when iproperty.com.my said it had over 300 percent more unique visitors and 1950 percent more page views than its closest competitor according to Google Ad Planner figures. Nevertheless, iproperty.com Group executve chairman Patrick Grove was optimistic about the portal group’s performance:

“Leads to agents and developers from iproperty.com increased by 40 percent, a huge leap from the previous month. Since our inception, we have consistently increased our market share and despite the entrance of new players in the online property portal arena, iproperty.com remains, by far, the number one choice for property listings and news.”

The new players Grove mentions include theedgeproperty.com, the property listing and information portal run by The Edge Communications, which publishes a number of newspapers and magazines in Malaysia.

iproperty.com.my’s most recent move was the relaunch of its website in August, offering new features and a new look.

The portal is owned by IPGA Limited, which operates portals in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong and has investments in Taiwan, India and the Philippines.

Classified Ad Ventures is the owner of propertyportalwatch.com, and also owns a stake in IPGA.
