Indian property portal magicbricks.com has detoured offline to hold a series of property bazaars for affordable homes.

The “Rajnagar Extension Affordable Property Bazaar” saw over 10,000 home seekers walk-in over the two-day event and conduct business of over Rs. 100 Crores.

Ramathreya Krishnamurthi, Business Head at magicbricks.com, was satisfied with the success of the event, saying:

“Among online real estate portals, property bazaars are a unique offering from magicbricks.com, wherein we provide our customers an opportunity to showcase their properties to their prospects. I’m not only happy that we were able to exceed our clients’ expectations, but also delighted with the large number of footfalls at the show that demonstrates interest among consumers for affordable properties. In the coming two months magicbricks.com is organizing similar shows in Chennai & Bangalore and we expect equal, if not better response to these shows.”

One developer, Mayank Modi of the Ashiana Group, said the response from the crowd was tremendous:

“While we anticipated a large number of footfalls, the actual number exceeded all our expectations. People did not only come to visit & survey the available property options but actually booked properties on the spot. It was a very rich experience for us and was by far the best property bazaar we have participated in till date.”

magicbricks.com says the fair resulted in many happy customers and that developers and others on show were able to register booking for over 40 projects on-the-spot and generate thousands of leads for future registrations in their projects.

magicbricks.com was established in 2006 by Times Group, and now claims to be the number one property portal in India. It faces competition from portals such as in.iproperty.com, 99acres.com, makaan.com and indiaproperty.com.
