bayut.com Launches in UAE

A new property portal, bayut.com, has launched in the UAE.

While AMEinfo.com reported the portal’s launch on 3 September, press releases on the site date back to February 2008, when bayut.com had a “soft launch“.

bayut.com says it is a “pioneering combination of unbeatable UAE real estate database and an extremely user friendly outlook. bayut.com is not just a UAE property portal; it can be used as a powerful tool to dig out your desired property, an unsurpassed real estate marketing channel for reaching out to millions of customers and a handy guide to assist in your property investment decisions.”

bayut.com is a privately owned, self-funded company. Little is said about the website’s owners except a mention on the website’s homepage saying that they are a “team of dedicated and talented individuals with an experience of more than a decade in providing information and property portals. With offices operating in the United Kingdom, USA and UAE, our latest venture of bayut.com is at the forefront of providing services in the field of real estate and property trade in Dubai and UAE.”

The website claims the following statistics:

  • Over 300,000 unique monthly visitors
  • More than 6,000,000 monthly hits
  • Registered members exceeding 50,000
  • More than 5,000 new properties added per month
  • Over 1,000 unique developments and buildings

  1. bayut.com Goes Social

    bayut.com, a property portal covering the United Arab Emirates, has launched community section to encourage interaction between buyers and sellers. The portal, which was officially launched last September, claims to have over 100,000 registered members. Its new community section allows members to post questions, start discussions, and upload blog posts....

  2. Countrywide Launches Independent Site

    UK estate agency group Countrywide plc has launched propertywide.co.uk, a new website that will provide access to the company’s properties as well as its estate agency services. Countrywide, which was one of the agencies behind the launch of top UK portal rightmove.co.uk in 2000, is already signed to list all its offices with rightmove.co.uk until 2012. Early in 2009, Countrywide also set up an agreement with The Digital Property Group to list all its networks on TDPG’s portals....

  3. makaan.com Launches Index

    Indian property portal makaan.com has launched a property index to provide information on movement in residential property prices. According to a statement from the portal, data analysis for the the makaan.com property index (MPI) began in January 2009, and the index is based on minimum size of 20,000 data points each month. The MPI uses property prices as base and then factors in the supply and demand of residential properties for each of the cities covered....

  4. propertyguru.com.sg Launches Campaign

    propertyguru.com.sg in Singapore has launched a national outdoor advertising campaign. Buses and taxis splashed in red houses, prominent propertyguru logo and "The FASTEST way to FIND A HOME" strapline, will be seen across the Island starting this month....

  5. daft.ie Launches rent.ie as Test Bed
