zillow.com Expands with Windermere
September 30, 2009 by Alice Allan · Leave a Comment

US real estate marketplace zillow.com has partnered with Seattle based agency network Windermere Real Estate in a move that will expand the website’s listings by more than 30,000. zillow.com states this will benefit the 37 percent of users who visit the website from the 10 western states where Windermere operates.
Windermere will join zillow.com’s Listings Feed program, which the website says now includes over 3.7 million for sale listings. The Listings Feed program allows any broker, MLS or vendor with multiple listings to automatically feed their listings to zillow.com for free. Windermere’s listings will also appear on zillow.com’s popular iPhone application, which has just been upgraded.
“We constantly look for ways to maximize marketing exposure for our associates and listings,” Windermere chief marketing officer Jan Edmonson said in a statement. “The zillow.com Listings Feed program offers a tremendous marketing opportunity for our agents and their sellers.”
zillow.com quotes Omniture statistics that put its year-on-year growth at 64 percent as of August this year, and its monthly unique users at 8.8 million.

meilleursagents.com Mobile Android App For Paris
September 29, 2009 by Emma Sorensen · Leave a Comment

Last week leading French property portal seloger.com was the latest to reveal an iPhone App, with “push notifications“, bringing it in line with competitor logic-immo.com, which has had its own iPhone App in the market for several months.
This week we can report that France’s meilleursagents.com has taken things one step further by releasing a mobile android application. The app displays the property value of every single building in Paris in price per square meter.
The “layar empowered augmented reality app” allows users to see at street level, through their mobile phone camera, the value or prices of real estate in Paris.
Users launch the application, place their phone in front of them and steer toward the building of their choice. GPS identifies the location and orientation of the phone and estimates of house prices from meilleursagents.com then appear in real time on the phone screen, above the camera image.
The company claim this is the first application of augmented reality real estate in France.
You can watch a video demo below:

Stay tuned for many more android releases as the real estate industry cottons on to possibilities offered by this latest technology.
