s1homes.com Announce Agency Deal
July 29, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

Slater, Hogg & Howison and Countrywide, two of Scotland’s largest estate agency chains have joined forces with Scotland’s largest property portal, s1homes.com.
From today s1homes.com’s 200,000 users will be able to access all 4,000 properties currently being sold by Slater Hogg & Howison and Countrywide, marking another leap forward in the breadth and depth of properties available on the site.
It’s a coup for the property portal as Slater Hogg & Howison are the largest estate agency in Scotland. Last year they sold 10,000 properties from their 26 branches which stretch across Central Scotland. Countrywide has 15 branches in West Central Scotland and are part of the UK’s largest Estate Agency group with over 1,100 group offices.
In an announcement about the deal, s1 Managing Director, Mark Smith, said:
“As well as being the biggest, Slater Hogg & Howison and Countrywide are also two of the most respected brands within the Scottish property market, so naturally we’re delighted that they have chosen to partner with s1homes.“
Michael Luck, Managing Director of Slater, Hogg & Howison, added:
“By joining s1homes we’ll be helping our clients market their properties even more effectively. We were impressed with s1homes commitment to the Scottish property market and their plans for the future.”
Managing Director of Countrywide, Mairi Eckford, said:
“It’s important for us that we provide each individual client with the best value in marketing their property and being part of s1homes undoubtedly helps us achieve that.”
s1homes.com is Scotland’s leading independent property site visited by 200,000 home seekers a month. It lists 18,500 properties for sale and rent all over Scotland.
s1 is part of The Herald & Times Group which is owned by Newsquest Media Group, the UK’s second largest regional publisher, which also operates websites in the recruitment, entertainment listings, training and automotive markets.
