realestateview.com.au Links with Bendigo

Following on from its partnership with Star News Group in May this year, Australian property portal realestateview.com.au has linked with the Bendigo Weekly newspaper.
The partnership will allow visitors to bendigoweekly.com.au to access realestateview.com.au through an embedded search window that also displays Bendigo property listings and photos.
In a recent article in the Bendigo Weekly, newspaper chairman Steve Carter discussed the advantages of partnering with realestateview.com.au:
“The website and the data is controlled by the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, so it includes results reported in by the agents themselves. We believe this new service will help buyers and sellers gain a better picture of the Bendigo property market and help them make informed decisions.”
realestateview.com.au was launched in 2001 as a joint venture between the Real Estate Institute of Victoria and Victorian real estate agencies.
The website focuses on the Victorian real estate market, and according to Nielson NetRatings was the fastest growing real estate portal in Australia between January and October 2008.

Can’t believe this has finally been put to rest and that the REIV have been able to implement this with Enzo still at the helm!
With the Auction Results now heavily featured on REA, I think it may be a bit too late for REV. The only compeling reason for even visitng the site were the auction results – why bother now at all since all properties and all data are now on REA.
Whilst this is a good win for the Bendigo agents, its still a big nothing in the greater scheme of things.
Not sure why REV keep bothering.
