New CEO for propertymaps.com

Map-based online real estate search website, propertymaps.com, has announced the appointment of Michael W. Malone as Chief Executive Officer.
US based propertymaps.com is a user-friendly, one-stop-shop Web site that allows consumers to quickly search the actual Multiple Listing Service (MLS) databases used by Realtors® nationwide by using popular mapping tools such as Google Maps, Google Earth, and Microsoft Virtual Earth. It contains over 2 million listings and claims to be the first Internet site to provide map-based access to the authentic Multiple Listing Service (MLS) databases that are used by Realtors® nationwide.
“propertymaps.com is leading the online evolution of the real estate model,” said Malone in a press release about his appointment.
Malone was previously president and COO of RemedyMD®, a market leader in the use of predictive informatics to recognise patterns, personalize treatment, and measurably improve healthcare outcomes. “After analysing the company’s growth potential, I believe propertymaps.com has the opportunity to dominate the Internet real estate category”, he continued.
In addition to lead generation and advertising services, Malone said propertymaps.com plans to capitalise on its technology investment by selling data services to national real estate organisations in the investment community. “We will apply predictive informatics technology at propertymaps.com, just as predictive analytics applications are used on Wall Street for trading purposes,” he said.
After securing bridge funding from Houston-based Merrick Capital, the fast-growing company recently signed a memorandum of understanding to issue a $20 million Series A syndicated offering.
Nearly a decade ago, Malone was named to Sm@rt Reseller’s “Top 10 in Technology” ranking, behind only Steve Jobs at Apple and John Chambers at Cisco. He has served as president and COO for IBRIX, a leading provider of scalable file serving solutions, and was the president and founder of CTS Companies, an innovator in storage technology services. In addition, Malone was executive vice president of Dickens Data Systems, where he managed sales, distribution, and an architectural application development team.
Malone holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) in Management and Computer Science.
Since its launch in October 2006, propertymaps.com has signed strategic alliances with major partners in the United States, India, United Kingdom and Latin America, and will continue to expand its international presence with the launch of a formal partner program in 2008.

US map-based real estate search website propertymaps.com has recently been acquired by Jeff Chambers, former US product director for HomeAway Inc. propertymaps.com’s statement does not disclose the terms of the deal, but says Chambers saw the recent economic slowdown as an opportunity to redefine propertymaps.com’s structure. “Despite the struggles in residential real estate over the last two years, we believe propertymaps.com’s superior technology platform gives us the ability to enter into the market and compete on the national stage,” Chambers said....

I think Michael is one step ahead of the Google team( that’s not say they can’t generate also) here Climate and Weather , Population Demographics , Recent Home Sales , Employment and Finance Crime are available with many more features coming soon.Propertymaps.com has definitely moved first in terms of providing more social data as opposed to pure and applied analytics. This appeal to the estate agent community giving their UV’s more depth and content again reducing bounce and not forgetting lower IT implementation and investment on their own individual framework. This looks like trend set to continue with more data across the whole spectrum provided by third party.
