Makeover For globrix.com

UK property search engine globrix.com has revealed a makeover of its website.

From the previously sparse homepage users can now easily access a host of things like MyGlobrix, mortgage quotes and moving services. One of the biggest changes is the addition of a new ‘Know’ section, which allows users to search for things other than properties, such as local estate agents, house prices and area information, which gives property info sites like zoopla.co.uk and mouseprice.com a bit more competition.

Users can also switch to globrix.ie, the Irish version of the site which is due to launch in September.

Area guides can now also be searched from the homepage, revealing more easily information on number of properties for sale in that area, median listing price, change in prices in the area, number of properties sold per month, how this compares to nearby areas, photos of the area and local schools, restaurants, shops, transport links etc.

The property details pages have also been upgraded to include tabs so users can choose to see a property summary, an extended description, new improved map and local services and Google Street View.

One of the more fundamental changes is the introduction of a dedicated new homes section on globrix.com. While all new homes listings appear in the main index on globrix.com they are also searchable in a standalone section, putting it in competition with specialist new homes portals like smartnewhomes.com and newhomesforsale.co.uk.

globrix.com received over 990,000 unique visitors to its website in June, the highest level of traffic the property search engine has ever reported, and is consistently ranked in the top 10 in terms of web traffic to UK property portals.
