clickindia.com, a free-to-list classifieds portal listing real estate as well as jobs, cars, second hand goods and service providers, has introduced a free search widget that can be added to websites.

A statement from clickindia.com explains that the widget will provide users with a local city search and display recent popular searches.

The website also states that it has just added the ability to filter search results by city, in response to user feedback. clickindia.com now covers 16 cities across India, and currently lists 89,056 properties for sale and rent.

clickindia.com is operating in a highly competitive market that involves many classifieds websites as well as property specific portals.

When clickindia.com released its mobile-to-Internet classified ad listings service early last year, one blogger highlighted the challenge of standing out as an online classifieds portal in India:

“Online classifieds is one crowded segment with specialist players for jobs, matrimony, real estate and cars like naukri, shaadi, bharatmatrimony and carwale and also generic Craigslist clones like click.in, kijiji.in, indianclassifieds.com and others. With so much clutter it does become an important move when a player adds convenience related features for users.”
