US based Primedia Inc. has announced that its apartments and rentals websites, which include apartmentguide.com and rentals.com, ranked number one for June 2009 among apartment vertical search websites, according to comScore Media Metrix.
comScore reported that these Primedia apartments and rentals website generated more than 2.8 million unduplicated unique visitors and approximately 4.7 million unduplicated visits in June.
Primedia say these figures put apartmentguide.com and rentals.com above their competitors including rent.com, apartments.com, forrent.com, mynewplace.com, apartmentfinder.com and move.com rentals.
“Our print, Internet and mobile products are designed to provide consumers with free, relevant content that is quickly and easily accessible,” said Arlene Mayfield, president of apartmentguide.com. “As indicated by comScore’s June report, this focus has resulted in increased quality traffic, which in turn drives and converts quality leads for our advertising clients.”
“Our online strategy is successful because we leverage consumer marketing initiatives, search engine optimization, long-tail organic search and content distribution to increase quality traffic to our Web sites,” said Jamie Clymer, president of rentals.com. “More importantly, we create brand loyalty across all of our sites through relevant content that users can view in two-clicks or less.”
All apartmentguide.com listings automatically appear on rentals.com as basic listings and can be upgraded to featured or premier listings.
Primedia Inc. offers print, Internet and mobile solutions, and began with its flagship advertising-supported publication, Apartment Guide, in 1975. Alongside apartmentguide.com and rentals.com it also owns newhomeguide.com.
