Rightmove plc Appoints Director

Rightmove plc, operator of rightmove.co.uk, the UK’s leading property portal, has announced the appointment of Ashley Martin as a non-executive director and as Audit Committee Chairman.

Ashley Martin has been Group Finance Director of Rok plc, a GBP1.0 billion turnover maintenance and building services group business, since September 2003. Prior to Rok plc, he held various positions with Tempus Group plc including Group Finance Director from 1997 to 2002 prior to the sale of the GBP2 billion turnover media communications group in 2001.

Commenting on the new appointment, Scott Forbes, Rightmove’s chairman said:

“I am delighted to welcome Ashley to the Rightmove Board. We are confident that Ashley’s diversified business and financial skills will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the Board and support the achievement of the Company’s ambitious goals.”

Ashley’s appointment is effective immediately.
