Hitwise: Two New Top 20 Entries

Hitwise have released their May figures for real estate websites in the US and the results show two new entries into the top 20, compared to April which saw three new entries to the top 20: mynewplace.com, mlsfinder.com and visualtour.com.

The top 5 real estate websites in terms of visits remained unchanged.

trulia.com jumped the most in the top 10: from 9th to 6th place. rent.com fell one place to 7th place while homegain.com rose from 10th place to 8th. hud.gov fell one place from 8th to 9th and servicemagic.com ended up falling three places to scrape in 10th.

In the top 20 realestate.msn.com was the real winner in May: jumping 10 places from 24th to 14th. Meanwhile redfin.com jumped three places from 23rd to finish up 20th.

28.98% of all visits to the online ‘Business and Finance – Real Estate’ industry went to the top 10 websites for the month of May, 2009. 39.99% went to the top 20 websites and 67.85% went to the top 100 websites.

The top ten websites in terms of visits were:

1. realtor.com
2. realestate.yahoo.com
3. zillow.com
4. ziprealty.com
5. remax.com
6. trulia.com
7. rent.com
8. homegain.com
9. hud.gov
10. servicemagic.com
