UK property search engine globrix.com recently conducted a survey of users and listing agents and published some of the key results on their blog, which make for interesting reading.

From the agents’ point of view, 76.6 percent said it was “very important to them” that globrix.com sent traffic directly to their websites. However, 20.7 percent said they did not track where traffic to their website comes from.

Features that agents said they liked most about the website included: “cost effective advertising”, “free to list”, “a real competitor to Rightmove”, “it’s easy for house hunters to find what they actually want”, “no upload required”, and “drives traffic directly to us”.

51 percent of users surveyed said they thought globrix.com was “very good” compared to other portals, while 34.8 percent said globrix.com was their “favourite property website”.

At the same time, a “fair number” of users were not aware they could search by street name, by keywords or by price change. This information has prompted globrix.com to begin creating a range of help guides.

This year, globrix.com has incorporated a number of new features including Google Street View, a “Twitter this property” button on all listings, and tailored SEO consultancy and advice for its agents. The website was also voted second favourite portal after UK market leader rightmove.co.uk by readers of the Negotiator Magazine.
