Leading Australian property portal realestate.com.au has launched a microsite aimed at providing consumers with up-to-the-minute information and useful tools to help them do their homework when selling their home.

The company says realestate.com.au/sellingguide was developed after it realised there was no central place for sellers to go to get all of the information they needed when putting their most valuable asset on the market.

The selling guide covers a variety of topics of interest to consumers from choosing an agent, to preparing to sell, presenting their property and advertising their property. The site also features useful checklists and the latest RP Data auction results.

The website launched this week and will be promoted with a new television campaign, fronted by comedian Lawrence Mooney which will run during a nine week period in Melbourne and Sydney.

“The campaign is fully integrated including a mix of television, radio, online advertising, social networking and ambient grassroots activity on the ground in Sydney, to get close to the action by targeting sellers at open for inspections,” said realestate.com.au’s Marketing Manager, Jenny Dickson.

Speaking about the choice of frontman, Dickson said: “Lawrence uses fun, humor and unexpectedness to guide sellers through one of their most important journeys and highlights the key fundamentals they need to know to get the best value when selling their home.”
