A new German property portal, myimmo.de, is due to launch on 15 June.

myimmo.de is run by Unister GmbH, a company that operates many leading German portals across the areas of travel, media, finance, shopping and auto.

Crucially, the new nation-wide property portal will offer a free listing service for real estate agents.

Marco Behnke, Portal Manager of myimmo.de, was quoted in a press release as saying that in conversations with brokers, it became clear that many were angry about the current prices of the large property platforms, particularly in light of the global economic crisis.

It appears that agents will be able to place bids to have their listings appear higher up the search rankings.

Unister receives around 7 million monthly visitors to its portfolio of German portals, placing immo.de in a very strong starting position. It will begin by listings apartments, houses and commercial and industrial properties.
