condo.com Hosts Online Auction

US condominium portal and marketplace condo.com is hosting what it claims will be the one of the first auctions to cater to web based bidders as well as those who attend the auction in person.

condo.com has partnered with Elad National Properties, Cornerstone Marketing and Auction Management Solutions to provide the auction, which will sell off 40 condominium units at Atlanta apartment complex The Enclave at Briarcliff on 16th May, 2009.

Online bidders can register their interest prior to the auction, and need to install software onto a computer with a Windows operating system to participate. The online auction software includes audio and video streaming, and condo.com assures online participants that the risk of accidental bidding has been minimised.

condo.com lists condominiums for sale, rent and vacation in the United States and in more than 70 countries, and has over 800,000 listings valued in excess of $200 billion. It is also part of Network Communication Inc’s network of online distribution partners.
