trulia.com Sets New Records
April 3, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

US property search website trulia.com has announced that it set new records for site traffic and user engagement in the first quarter of 2009.
The company has linked this growth in part to the fact that it launched and promoted several new tools and features for consumers in the same time period. These include: Compare It!; Find a Pro; Trulia Mobile; and a Foreclosure Center.
It also credits the more than 170 websites that offered their users co-branded real estate search via Trulia’s Publisher Platform.
Comparing Q1 2008 to Q1 2009, the company says visits to the website increased by 40 percent, property views increased by close to 50 percent, and page views increased by 63 percent across home listings, stats & trends and Trulia Voices. The company’s online community, Trulia Voices, increased its registered user base by 61%, and the number of questions asked on the site was up by more than 160% from Q1 2008.
“This was by far our best quarter to date,” said Pete Flint, Trulia CEO and co-founder. “Consumers were more engaged than ever and we believe there is pent up demand as prices have reached new lows.”
