rentbits.com, a US based rental property search engine, has just introduced rental statistics pages to its website for over 4000 US cities.

Each of the new pages includes a graph of historical rental rates for the last six months as well as the current average and median rental rates. This data is further divided by type of property and number of bedrooms. The data is taken from over 7,000,000 rental houses, condos and apartments.

Dan Daugherty, President and CEO of rentbits.com, highlighted the advantages of including this information on the website: “With this new service, renters, owners, agents and property managers can now make more informed decisions when negotiating or pricing the rental home.”

rentbits.com, which operates on a cost-per-click/sponsored listings model, claims to offer “the most comprehensive index of rental property listings to help renters find an apartment or home for rent.” The website is currently home to over 500,000 active rental listings.

rentbits.com is not the only US property website to begin including historical data about a market. US condominium portal condo.com also recently added past sales and rental data to its listings of Florida properties.
