Swedish property portal hemnet.se has announced a revamp of its website, with a new design and an improved search function to be launched on 1 June 2009.

CEO Carl-Henrik Borg told Swedish news website dn.se that the changes will not be a one-off, stating hemnet.se’s goal is to add new features every quarter.

hemnet.se celebrates its 11th birthday this year, and is currently the most visited portal in Sweden.

hemnet.se will no doubt be hoping this long-awaited revamp keeps it ahead of the competition, which includes booli.se, bospindeln.se and Danish newcomer boliga.se.

The website recently saw a change of CEO, with Carl-Henrik Borg replacing Björn Dietmann, in January this year.

It will for sure be interesting to see how Hemnet will take on ‘new kids on the block’. It can’t be hard for them to come up with better functionality… ;-)

Keep up the great work following portals all over the world.
