UK property portal and property information website, zoopla.co.uk, has seen its website traffic rise a further 8.43 percent in the past month, according to the latest independent performance results from Nielsen and comScore.
zoolpa.co.uk have released a list of the top 10 UK property portals list based on compiling average number of unique visitors from Nielsen and comScore for February 2009.
The list places zoopla.co.uk in the top 5 – a real gain for a website which has only just celebrated one year in the market.
rightmove.co.uk still leads the way by a significant margin with 2,677,000 unique visitors in February. The Digital Property Group’s combined portals came second with 2,143,000. The REA Group owned propertyfinder.com and its family of portals came a distant third with 1,370,000, followed by nestoria.co.uk with 562,000 in fourth place. zoopla.co.uk ranks number 5, wth 450,000 unique visitors in February.
Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of zoopla.co.uk, commented in a statement about the list:
“We are delighted with our growth which demonstrates our ability to continue to capture market share through our innovation in the market. We look forward to extending this trend and further closing the gap on the leading players in the coming months.”
The average figures zoopla.co.uk are using compare January and February 2009, and show the month-on-month percentage change in unique visitors. Interestingly, out of the top ten, the only portals to see an increase in unique visitors were zoopla.co.uk with an 8.43 percent rise, globrix.com with a 2.37 percent increase, and homesonview.co.uk with a 15.11 percent increase in unique visitors.

zoopla.co.uk has claimed to be the fastest growing property website for some time now, and had another small success last week when its listings were added to property search engine nestoria.co.uk.
