roost.com Expands

March 24, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

US based property search engine roost.com has expanded again, adding Jacksonville, Florida, to the Roost platform.

The company says on its blog:

“This adds more than 21,000 new listings to our search engine when we include residential resale, for sale by owner, new home construction and foreclosures in Jacksonville alone. Additional listings in neighboring cities covered by the MLS that serves Northern Florida, including listings in Southern Georgia, add an additional 20,000 residential listings to the mix.”

It also means roost.com now has comprehensive coverage for almost the entire state of Florida including Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Sarasota.

Roost partners with Multiple Listing Services (MLSs) to help local real estate brokers and agents attract high-quality consumer traffic directly to their Web sites via an intuitive search tool. Roost’s platform brings together a network of individual real estate broker Web sites and a comprehensive search engine.

Late last year roost.com secured $8 million in new funding, thanks to investment led by Shasta Ventures. The funds were to allow expansion and further improvements to the already very successful website.
