residentialnyc.com Now Powered By trulia.com

March 20, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

residentialnyc.com, which is owned and managed by The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), New York’s leading real estate trade association, has revealed a new look and changes to its search capabilities.

The enhancements are the result of residentialnyc.com’s switch to using the Trulia Publishing Platform. This means trulia.com, the national real estate search engine, now powers the search on residentialnyc.com.

The changes mean that visitors to the site can now search Open House schedules by date and do keyword searches on specific needs for a property such as “pet friendly” or “doorman”. The website’s new layout also has more detailed property pages and enhanced mapping features, average house prices, market trends, and personalised search results.

“More and more New Yorkers are turning to residentialnyc.com for their home search and these new upgrades will only make the site easier to use,” said Steven Spinola, REBNY President. “We knew there was a need to provide consumers with one website where visitors could find the most comprehensive list of available exclusive properties and where listings are constantly updated for accuracy. residentialnyc.com does exactly that and more.”

residentialnyc.com was established in 2007 and claims to be the first comprehensive website enabling the public to link to thousands of exclusive home listings in New York City, which previously were only available to brokers. Since its inception, it has received more than 23 million hits, exceeded 980,000 page views and 276,000 unique visitors.

trulia.com’s Publisher Platform has also seen the search engine partner with kiplinger.com, Seattle Weekly, and American Towns. trulia.com also have a partnership with the Washington Post.
