zoopla.co.uk claims to be the UK’s fastest growing property website. Given the January figures just released by the company it’s no surprise – they certainly seem to have earnt the right to continue to use the fastest growing website slogan in their marketing campaigns.

Over the last 12 months zoopla.co.uk has announced its highest ever monthly user figures, recording just short of a million website visits in January 2009 – a total of 972,802. This is a month-on-month increase of over 50 per cent.

The company also reports that unique user figures were up a record 43 per cent and page views hit over 6.4 million in January, compared with 3.9 million in December 2008 – a giant 64% increase.

In a statement about the figures, Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of zoopla.co.uk, said:

“It’s tremendously encouraging to see that in just one year zoopla.co.uk now ranks as the fifth most visited property website in the UK and these latest user figures demonstrate just how insatiable the public’s appetite for property information is. With the imminent launch of our property listings on a pay-for-performance basis, we are extremely excited about continuing our growth trend in 2009.”

zoopla.co.uk began the new year with a flurry of announcements including securing £3.75 million in new funding, listing a record breaking 15 million sold house price records, and revealing Malcolm McCallion’s appointment as Sales Director.

They are yet to formally launch their much-anticipated, innovative “pay-for-performance” based model for estate agent listings.
