Australian commercial property portal, realestatecommercial.com.au has announced that it will be adding another commercial property website, primesite.com.au, to its portfolio in May 2009.
realestatecommercial.com.au first dipped its toe in the Australian market in September 2008 with an official launch set for 1 July 2009. It lists commercial real estate for sale and for lease as well as businesses for sale and faces stiff competition from REA Group owned realcommercial.com.au, which was established in July 2002.
Real Estate Commercial’s new website, primesite.com.au joins the company’s other websites: housesonline.com.au, repv.com.au and locationlocationlocation.com.au, with realestatecommercial.asia also scheduled for release in July 2009.
Russell Robertson, Managing Director of Real Estate Commercial, told propertyportalwatch.com that realestatecommercial.com.au will remain for agents listings only, while primesite.com.au will be for agents and private sellers of businesses, commercial properties for sale and lease.
“Our aim is to offer free listings on primesite.com.au to those agents who are subscribing to realestatecommercial.com.au, representing greater exposure to our customers to receive more email leads and enquiries.”
Since launching the beta site late last year realestatecommercial.com.au has grown to over 15,000 listings Australia wide from some major franchise brands, independent agents and small groups, who are signed up with xml feeds.
According to the company, the last quarter saw a 75% increase of property listings, alongside a 43% growth in visitors to the website.
Russell Robertson said the company is pleased with the early development of the commercial site and that it has already had contact from companies in Asia and the UK who have expressed an interest in marketing its commercial products in their countries.
