Move Inc. President Departs

US based Move, Inc., has announced that the company’s current president, Lorna Borenstein, has decided to leave the company effective 13 March 2009.

Steven Berkowitz, who was named Move’s Chief Executive Officer in January of this year, will assume responsibility for Lorna Borenstein’s duties.

A statement from Steven Berkowitz released by the company says:

“Over the past two years, Lorna has been a passionate leader, guiding the Company to redesign its websites, focus on profitable operations, and drive operating efficiencies to better position the Company to succeed in the current market downturn and when the market recovers. She has been a valuable resource for me over the past month as I have transitioned from the Board to the CEO role and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Lorna Borenstein has been president at Move Inc. since May 2007. Before that she held a number of executive positions at Yahoo! and executive positions at eBay, including successfully launching and growing eBay Canada. Prior to that, Lorna practiced law in Chicago and Toronto and served as assistant counsel at Hewlett-Packard Canada.

Move, Inc. receives around 7.4 million unique users to its online network of websites (comScore January 2009), which include move.com, realtor.com, Welcome Wagon, Moving.com, SeniorHousingNet, and Top Producer Systems.

Move, Inc. is set to announce its latest results for Q4 2008 on 3 March 2009.

Just as well. LB entered the company a strong promising force for many forms of improvement. But over time she seemed to the company employee base to lose much of her interest and all of her trustworthiness. Next!

I would like to contact Steve berkowitz and the other board members of realtor.com to express my opinion regarding the services they have provided me. Would you have the contact information available? Discussing my concerns with the ‘representative’ have failed to address my concerns. thank you
