casaclick.it Partners with GPS Garmin Navigator

Late last year Italian property portal casaclick.it partnered with Garmin Italia to offer property searchers the opportunity to upload the properties listed on casaclick.it to the GPS Garmin Satellite Navigation system.

Many portals are adding driving directions via Google maps or similar, but this takes it one step further. Your GPS can almost take on the role of property portal. It’s a great idea, and one that’s bound to appeal to tech-savvy, direction-challenged property searchers.

The application lets users find any casaclick.it listed properties and see where they are in relation to where the user is currently located.

Each property still contains vital information from its listing including all the features and the telephone number of the real estate agent. And, of course, the driving directions, courtesy of the Garmin navigator, which will direct the user right to the front door of the selected property.

The company says that the alliance between casaclick.it and Garmin means it is possible for anyone sitting in their own car or walking down the street, to:

• Select all the properties for rent or for sale, including short term or “tourist” real estate rentals
• View all buildings classified by distance from the point at which you are located
• Select and be guided to a property by your GPS
• Receive an audio alert when you pass close to a real estate property for sale or for rent
• Read data sheet of every real estate property
• Find the telephone number of the advertisement holder

It’s a great way to gain a snapshot of the local real estate market, and shows the potential for GPS, or even mobile phones with GPS functionality, to play a valuable role in the property portal world.
