Record Auction Sales at realtybid.com
November 12, 2008 by Emma Sorensen
Finally, some good news to break the economic doom and gloom: An announcement from US home auction website realtybid.com reveals their sales have substantially increased.
October was the company’s most successful sales month ever with an almost 75 percent jump in sales over October 2007 and an almost 43 percent jump over its previous record sales month.
realtybid.com CEO Tony Isbell said the company sold almost 600 homes in 21 days:
“Our online auction process encourages people to get involved in bidding and place an offer at their price,” Isbell said. “The transparency of seeing the bids of other potential buyers gives comfort to the buying public in a time when confidence in the housing market is on edge.”
realtybid.com Executive Vice President Mike Keracher said the transparency of online bidding on realtybid.com helps foster consumer confidence.
realtybid.com was established by Isbell and Keracher in 2001, and specialises in the expedited sale of real estate through its online bidding platform. It has sold more than $500 million worth of real estate and over 16,000 homes online.
At the time we logged on, realtybid.com’s site ticker was reporting 1,423 properties on offer, with a total of 49,909 having been offered, and 2,828, 943 unique visitors overall.
