propertyindex.com Ups The Ante in UK
November 17, 2008 by Emma Sorensen
After a successful UK launch, overseas portal propertyindex.com has announced two key senior hires, aimed to push their “pay per results” sales drive to a new level.
propertyindex.com has poached Darren Saunders, formerly of propertyfinder.com, to be its business development manager for London, and Jasmine Jalaf, a former senior sales executive for thinkproperty.com, to manage the West Midlands territory.
propertyindex.com is operating on an innovative “pay per results” model with no set-up fees, no monthly subscriptions, no commission on sales and no minimum term contracts for agents. Established in September 2007 the website now features over 150,000 properties for sale and rent across 4,000 destinations worldwide.
Revealing the appointments, Lee Bramzell, Managing Director of propertyindex.com said:
“With proven track records, these new additions will help take us from strength to strength. We offer a solution to agents who are tightening their belts, and both Darren and Jasmine will be aiming to show estate agents that propertyindex.com can generate high quality leads, even in a difficult market’’.
“In the current climate, the industry is undergoing a massive shift. Agents no longer reap the benefits once achieved through long standing subscriptions with online property marketing partners. It’s time for new ideas and my team has been working tirelessly since launch in September to convey our ‘pay per results’ message to agents looking for a fresh approach to marketing.”
In keeping with their focus on recruiting agents, propertyindex.com is participating in and sponsoring a host of industry events this month.

What is their model for charging? Thanks, Brian
Hi Brian, according to an article we ran in October propertyindex.com charge 1 pound sterling per lead. You can read more here: http://www1.propertyportalwatch.com/2008/10/news-yet-another-uk-site-propertyindexcouk/#more-324
Hi Brian, thank you for your comment. I work with PropertyIndex.com and I’m pleased to confirm that our cost per lead model means that agents and developers can list unlimited properties for sale and rent on PropertyIndex.com and only pay for results.
The pricing structure for agents listing UK properties for sale and rent, and those marketing overseas properties is slightly different in order to reflect the different dynamics of the markets. Overseas property leads are relatively scarce so prices are slightly higher (£10 cost per lead). Also, we believe overseas property buyers tend to have researched more thoroughly so are arguably better qualified.
UK property leads are £1 for each qualified home mover lead, and £5 per vendor lead. To clarify what constitutes a ‘qualified lead’ - a qualified lead is delivered direct to the agent’s inbox, and includes a full name, contact telephone number and email address. The leads come straight from individual listings, so agents will know that a particular property has caught the enquirer’s attention. If the lead proves uncontactable, agents can dispute it and not pay.
With our cost per lead campaign, there are no set-up fees, no subscriptions, no minimum term contracts and no commission on sales. Agents also receive 24/7 access to real time statistics to enable them to monitor the results of their campaign.
Agents and developers listing on PropertyIndex.com also have the option to increase their visibility on the site and drive more traffic, by choosing from a range of highly-targeted cost per click advertising options, including:
•‘Featured Agent’ position - a high-profile link on every relevant destination page.
•‘Featured Property’ placement – a highlighted property to appear within the top 5 positions on every relevant destination page and within every relevant search.
•‘Featured Property Plus’ placement – MPU banner position/listing enhanced with sound and video.
• Sponsored links - text links appearing on all relevant areas of the website, featuring a link through to a specific agent’s listings.
•Creative campaign - banners, skyscrapers, MPUs.
