November 11, 2008 by Emma Sorensen

South African property portal property24.co.za has been awarded the honour of Best Property Website in the 2008 Jump Shopping e-Commerce award.
Now in its third year, the awards recognise e-commerce excellence in South Africa. Websites are voted on by consumers before the overall winners in 20 categories are chosen by a judging panel.
property24.co.za claims to dominate the market, saying it is the most-visited South African property site, and contains the largest selection of South African homes for sale and to let. Property24.co.za is backed by Absa, South Africa’s leading mortgage lender, and by Media24, the country’s leading publishing group.
In both 2006 and 2007 the award was collected by market competitor privateproperty.co.za. This year they only received a nomination, along with myproperty.co.za and rentaspot.co.za.
