Hi All

I love nestoria more than any other uk big property portals. we are getting lot of Click through from nestoria. Those clients spending quality time on agents web sites.
CTR more useful than email inquiry. Good luck nestoria team and Ed.

Thank you

Hi properyportalwathcer,

I'm not sure I understand your question. We don't advertise on Google (or other search engines) in the UK. So it's hard for me to classify that as "heavily".

The reason I would see Google as a threat for property portals (again, bear in mind that we're not a property portal, but rather a search engine) is because G takes money directly from the marketing budgets of estate agents. Hence my question: Why should an agent advertise on a portal when he can go straight to Google? If I were in the senior management at a large portal this is something I'd be giving a lot of thought to. If I were an agent, I'd be experimenting with Adwords, as indeed many agents already are.

best,
Ed

@interested observer

Everyone is entitled to their (anonymous) opinion. You are right that the times ahead will be interesting. We'll continue to focus on growing our number of loyal users, paying clients, and industry partners. You can look forward to announcements on the business side and continued product innovation in the coming weeks (best way to stay up to date is our blog)

enjoy the weekend,
Ed

I bet 90%+ of their traffic comes from SEO, they have no discernable point of difference to either users or advertisers, money off PPC = classic arbritage model. These guys are not a real business in the same way that Globrix, Zoopla and Zoomf are trying to be. Once portal marketing money dries up it will be interesting to see how they deal with this.
